Step back to Tudor times on Wednesday, 31 May 2023, at St George's Guildhall in King's Lynn, with a packed programme of Tudor inspired activities and games.

Aimed at children aged 5-12 and their families, activities include hobby horse jousting and other Tudor games, Tudor dancing lessons, learning about Tudor food and making a tasty Tudor treat. Children will also be able to handle Tudor objects, find out about Tudor theatre and listen to a Shakespeare short story.  There are also opportunities to get hands-on with craft sessions to make items to take home.

Dayna Woolbright, Norfolk Museums Service Curator, said:

"We look forward to seeing families with young children pop in on Wednesday to enjoy a Tudor experience, complete with jousting, games and dancing.  These activities are designed to be fun but also to help children and their families learn about the history of our amazing guildhall, and the town's links with Shakespeare."

The fun takes place between 10.30am and 2.30pm. There is no need to book for this drop-in session. Children must be accompanied by an adult. The cost is £2 per child, with no charge for the accompanying adult.

Sessions have been provided thanks to funding from the Borough Council of King's Lynn & West Norfolk and the UK government through the UK Shared Prosperity Fund. Activities have been organised in association with Norfolk Museums Service.
