Council services on the day of the State Funeral of Queen Elizabeth II

Borough Council of King's Lynn and West Norfolk offices at King's Court will be closed on Monday 19 September 2022 as a mark of respect to coincide with the State Funeral of Queen Elizabeth II.

For emergencies, such as homelessness, during the closure please call 01553 616601.

Many of our services are available online, we recommend looking at west-norfolk.gov.uk

Other council services will also be affected.

Waste and recycling collections

There will be no domestic waste, recycling or garden waste collections on Monday 19 September.

Green and black bin collections will be carried out a day late that week including a collection on Saturday 24 September. From Monday 26 September black and green bin collections will be back to the normal collection day.

Brown bin, garden waste, collections will be carried out a day late that week and week commencing 26 September. Brown bin collections scheduled for Friday 23 September will be made on Monday 26 September. An additional catch-up collection will take place on Saturday 1 October 2022.

Mintlyn Crematorium

The Crematorium will remain open for pre-booked services on Monday 19 September.

The Gardens at Mintlyn will also be open from 9am to 4pm that day.
