Registration reminder for May elections
News release PR 2174
Issued 11 February 2013
Norfolk County Council elections take place on 2 May this
year. Residents across the borough are being encouraged to
make sure they are registered if they wish to vote.
Mary Colangelo, Electoral Services Manager at the Borough Council,
said that some residents need to act now if they are
to have their say at the Norfolk County
Council elections.
”Anyone who has moved house since 15 October 2012 should register
at their new address,” she warns, “and I know there are some people
in the area who have not yet registered to vote, which means they
may be missing out unless they take action now. Registrations can
be received anytime between now and the deadline of 17 April
2013.
Residents can request a registration form by calling the Electoral
Registration section at the Borough Council or by printing off a
registration form from www.west-norfolk.gov.uk/elections.
Mary Colangelo added: "Any residents who think they may be away for
the election could apply now to vote by post or by proxy.
Forms can be printed from www.west-norfolk.gov.uk/elections.
It just takes a few minutes, and then you are all set for 2
May.”
