Mayor's Business Awards
Mayor’s Business Awards publicly acknowledge outstanding business achievement and the contribution that businesses make to the West Norfolk economy.
Established in 1989, by former mayor Cllr Les Daubney, the awards recognise the achievements of local businesses and provide them with the perfect opportunity to showcase their success. We have joined forces with the Lynn News to make the awards bigger and better than ever.
There are nine categories to enter this year and businesses can enter as many as they wish:
- Mayor's Business of the Year Award
- The Good Taste award (reader nominations/reader vote)
- Apprentice/Trainee of the Year
- Customer Care
- Contribution to the Community
- Independent Retailer
- Leisure & Tourism
- Small Growing Business (for up to five years)
- Business Person of the Year
Borough Mayor, Cllr Barry Ayres, said “As I have visited local businesses during my time as Mayor, I have been encouraged to see how we are recovering from the recession and how the business sector is expanding throughout King's Lynn and West Norfolk. These are exciting times.
"I am confident that enterprises should put themselves forward for the Business Awards and would urge local businessmen and women to do so. The benefits are clear and a good healthy competitive approach can do no harm."
