School closures

 

Details of local school closures can be found on the Norfolk County Council website.

 

Winter road maintenance

 

Norfolk County Council are responsible for maintaining the majority of public roads in West Norfolk. Details of how they achieve this can be found on their website. The Highways Agency is responsible for the A47 trunk road.

 

Travel information

 

The latest and forecast weather information can be found at the Met Office website.

 

The latest travel and weather information is broadcast in West Norfolk on Radio Norfolk and on KLFM 96.7.

Cold weather payment

 

If you’re getting certain benefits, you may be able to get a Cold Weather Payment.

Payments will be made when your local temperature is either recorded as, or forecast to be, an average of zero degrees Celsius or below over 7 consecutive days.
