Missed Bin Collections
Popular Task for Waste & Recycling
If your bin is not emptied on your scheduled collection day please check our current service issues page to see if there are any particular issues affecting collections.
If there are no issues affecting your collections we may not have been able to empty your bin if:
- It was not at the collection point by 7 am.
- It contained the wrong materials (if this is the case you should see an advisory note attached to your bin telling you what the problems is). If you need further help please call 01553 616200
- Side or excess waste has not been put out correctly.
- The food in your food waste bin has frozen to it. If this is the case, our crews will attach a label to your bin, notifying you why it has not been emptied and giving advice about how to resolve the situation.
If the reasons above do not apply to your situation we may have missed your bin by mistake. Please report this to us before 12 noon on the next working day after collection was due to take place so we can arrange for our crews to return to collect your bin. Please leave your bin at the collection point.
If your bin has not been emptied, please report it using our missed bin form or by calling the waste helpline on 01553 616200
Please note that if you do not contact us before 12 noon on the next working day after collection was due to take place we will not be able to return to your property until your next scheduled collection date.
