Abandoned Vehicles

We are responsible for the removal of abandoned
vehicles and arrange for either their disposal or storage. Once
completed the responsibility is passed on to Norfolk County Council
who will try to trace the owner to recover costs.
If a vehicle is reported as being abandoned, in the first
instance we contact the Police for them to carry out vehicle checks
and try and trace the owner. Once these checks have been completed
they give us the authority to deal with the removal of
the abandoned
vehicle.

If the vehicle is burnt out the Police will need to be
contacted to carry out vehicle checks and once completed,
authority is given to us to remove the
vehicle.
Once a vehicle has been removed by us it becomes the
responsibility of Norfolk County Council and any
person wishing to make claim to a vehicle must contact them.
