Be safe while visiting West
Norfolk's beaches and coastline. Follow the safety tips
below.
Some Safety Tips:
- Black-and-white chequered flag indicate an area of water for use by water craft. DO NOT swim or bathe in this zone.
- Children's inflatables should always have a line connected, held securely by an adult on the shore.
- Always check the tide before you enter the water.
Remember to protect yourself against the sun's ray:
'Slip - Slap - Slop'
- Slip on a shirt
- Slap on a hat
- Slop on sunscreen

Council Safety ServicesKing's Lynn & West Norfolk Borough Council's resort services team provide a range of
services for the safety, enjoyment and welfare of visitors to
Hunstanton and Heacham Beaches during the summer season. They
provide;
- A beach patrol service on the south prom at Hunstanton
- Beach office next to the Oasis Leisure Centre
- First aid and a lost child service.
