How to Pay Your Council Tax
The Council is responsible for collecting the Council Tax from all households in the area.
You can pay your council tax in the following ways:
Pay Online
Pay your council tax through our secure online payment system.
To complete your payment online, you will need your council tax account number (which can be found on your council tax bill) as well as a valid debit or credit card.

Direct Debit
Paying via direct debit is the easiest and most hassle free way of paying your council tax.
To set up a Direct Debit please contact us on 01553 616200 or alternatively you can print and complete this Direct Debit Mandate and return to our offices.
Telephone Payment Line
You can pay your council tax by using our automated telephone payment line on 01553 616671.
To complete your telephone payment, you will need your council tax account number (which can be found on your council tax bill) as well as a valid debit or credit card.
Post Office or PayPoint Outlet
You can pay your council tax by cash at any Post Office or PayPoint outlet by taking your barcoded bill. For more information please see our Barcoded Bills and Invoices page.

If you are having difficulty please contact us as soon as possible. A member of staff will then be able to discuss your payments and any options available to you.
