Frequently asked questions

Climbing Wall

Climbing Wall

Recreational climbers are well catered for with most routes in the popular 5a-6b range.

The walls are at a wide variety of angles from slab to overhanging roof. Lead climbing is possible on many lines.

Climbing Wall

There is a 25 square metre articulating panel offering the same holds on a slab, vertical or overhang, depending on the angle.

This section of the wall also makes the facility suitable for larger groups at the same level of ability and disabled users.

The chimney is an unusual feature in a wall this size. High-level belaying and abseiling are possible from the dedicated belay niche.

Bouldering Cave

The Bouldering CaveThe Bouldering Cave is fully mat-protected and incorporates a climbable roof. Bouldering is a branch of rock climbing, performed at low level and without the hindrance of equipment normally associated with climbing.

This allows the participant to fully focus on the techniques and movements without risk of injury and makes it easier for those wishing to climb to gain a safe entry into the activity.

The Bouldering Cave is great for beginners, birthday parties and the experienced climber.
