At the Oasis Sports & Leisure Centre we offer a total of 23 group fitness classes every week in our modern fully air-conditioned aerobics studio.  All classes are taken by a fully qualified instructor to ensure the health, safety and well-being of all participants.
 
We operate a wide variety of aerobic classes catering for all fitness levels and ages.  So whether you are highly energetic and enjoy upbeat classes or someone who simply wants to exercise to keep supple and toned, we have a class for you.
 
All of our classes offer an ideal opportunity to improve stamina, suppleness, muscle tone and general all-round fitness.

Group fitness classes for adults:

 

Nice & Gentle Aerobics (50+)

Come and enjoy a low impact aerobic class. Taught by an experienced aerobics instructor, this class will work on your health and fitness in a safe, friendly and fun manner.

 

Water Aerobics

Get fit in the water. Water aerobics is great for improving your fitness, flexibility and muscle strength and endurance. Exercising in the water reduces the impact on your joints and works your muscles against the resistance of the water.

 

Tai-Chi

Tai-Chi is a gentle exercise activity, rooted in Chinese culture, but is now popular throughout the world. In tai-chi, movements are practiced slowly and fluidly to benefit the whole body and mind. Including: the cardiovascular system, flexibility and mobility, balance, joint function, muscular and bone strength and relaxation of the mind. 

 

We provide opportunities for people to begin and progress in tai-chi 24 movements form. These classes are often busy so booking is strongly recommended. Further opportunities for progression are available through our instructor West Norfolk Tai-Chi.

 

Latino Aerobics

A dance aerobics class with lots of mambo and hip movements to Latino music.

 

Supple, Strength & Relaxation

Influenced by yoga and pilates, this is a great class for improving flexibility, inner core strength and relaxation.

 

Pilates

Focus on building your body's core strength and improving your posture through a series of low repetition, low impact stretching and conditioning exercises.

 

Freestyle Pump

The '”worlds fastest way to get in shape'' - a 60 minute workout designed to tone and condition your body, whilst raising your metabolic heart rate for rapid fat burning. Using barbells with adjustable weights, it works the major muscle groups via a series of exercises including squats, presses, curls and lifts.

 

Dancercise
This is a relatively new class which combines commercial modern street dance and exercise.  This class is suitable for all ages.

50+ Total Body Workout

This is a low impact total body aerobic workout class aimed at the over 50's. Taught by an experienced instructor, this class will help you to stay subtle and keep fit within a relaxed environment.

 

Core Stability

This is a Pilates based class, aimed at improving posture and lower back stability by utilising the deep postural muscles.

 

Group fitness classes for juniors:

 

Kids Street Dancing (5-15 years old)

A class that makes you move just like the dancers on MTV.  The class is fun and enjoyable, and is set to a range of up-to-date songs.  Participants also have the option to be creative and add in their own moves.  

 

Ballet and Modern Dance (5-15 years old)

This is a syllabus-based class suitable for all ages of children.  Building technique through graded exercise, this class is fun for all.
