We endeavour to offer the highest calibre
service and are proud of our reputation for excellent compassionate
service to the public and high standards of grounds maintenance
throughout the cemeteries and the crematorium. As a Local
Authority service we have no commercial incentives and will give
you impartial advice on funeral service arrangements without
charge.
The chapel, which seats approximately 100
people, is equipped with the state of the art Wesley Music System
as well as an electronic organ, giving a full range of music
options to families. In 1996 an induction loop system was
installed to benefit those who wear a hearing aid. The chapel
is on a single level giving easy access for wheelchairs.
Disabled toilet facilities are also available.
The Gardens of Remembrance are a mixture of
informal woodlands planted with memorial trees and shrubs where
people can sit on seats dedicated to the memory of loved ones, a
lawned area with memorial shrubs and trees as well as memorial
kerbs, and finally a more formal area of memorial kerb plates and
trees to mark the final resting place of the deceased. There
is also a Columbarium (which is where the cremated remains rest in
vaults sealed with inscribed granite tablets) sited close to the
main building. Parts of the grounds are managed as
conservation areas thus encouraging wildlife and various wild
flowers to flourish.
Mintlyn Crematorium welcomes visitors.
